About us

The Slovak Society of General/Family Practice (SSGFP) has been in 2006 renamed to The Slovak Society of General Practice of The Slovak Medical Association (SkSGP SkMA) and moved from Bojnice to new address :
Námestie SNP 10, 814 66 Bratislava, Slovakia.       

We are a professional association of Slovak general practitioners that functions as a civic association.
We were founded in the year 1979. We have approx. 1,400 members at present.
The pivotal task of our organization is to organize training for general practitioners.
 
Next XXXIII. annual conference is going to take place in Vysoke Tatry (Stary Smokovec), 11th till 13th October 2012.
You all will be welcome.
 
A Slovak general practitioner in EU can find his/her professional identity in a well-working professional association. For the association’s committee the goal to build such an association in high on the agenda of the day. However to increase reputation of our professional work in society is possible only due to contributions by our active members. Unity of general practitioners plays an important role. We build the association for ourselves and therefore we put stress on the need of professional mobilization of general practitioners clustered in the professional association SkS GP SkMA.
